Grade 8 Exploration Assessment task
Here is the latest assessment task in which you are writing a journal on board explorer’s ship.
Year 8 Classwork — Week Ending 16/11/2007
Last week: for those students not in California, we looked at the monk Savonarola and completed p. 16 and 17 in the textbook and wrote a newpaper article about the death of Savonarola. This week we are looking further a one of the main causes that you studied in your assessment: the printing press. We read p. 38-41 and completed questions 4-8 on page 41.
Year 8 Classwork — Week Ending 12/10/2007
Students learned more about Cosimo de Medici and his impact on the Renaissance by reading pages 12 and 13 in the book. They wrote two Eulogies. One as a supporter of Cosimo and the other as an opponent.

Students finished watching the video about the Renaissance and wrote their own quizes based on the information.
Students received first assessment hand out and should complete the notes for this week

This week grade 8 has been looking at the introduction of the Renaissance. Students had to read p 8 and 9 in their books and answer question 3
Students also watched a short video about the changes that occurred during the Renaissance.
