Year 8 Classwork — Week Ending 12/10/2007

Students learned more about Cosimo de Medici and his impact on the Renaissance by reading pages 12 and 13 in the book.  They wrote two Eulogies.  One as a supporter of Cosimo and the other as an opponent.

Homework: Continue working on the assessment

Year 9 Classwork and homework — Week Ending 12/10/2007

Students this week looked at the Tennis Court Oath and how it was the first major ‘trigger’ cause of the French Revolution.  They annotated David’s painting on the Tennis Court Oath and started to write an essay:  Why was the Tennis Court Oath so important and what was David trying to say about it?  The essay should be at least two paragraphs and roughly 3/4 to 1 page in length.

Homework:  Finish essay for homework due next week.

Year 7 Classwork — Week Ending 12/10/2007

Students finished up work on the Tollund Man Mystery producing in class a detailed report on why they thought the Tollund Man was killed.  Students then started an introduction into what is bias.

Homework:  Students must finish the worksheet (questions 1-6) for next week.

Year 9 Classwork and homework — Week Ending 05/10/2007

Students looked further at the cause of the French Revolution and completed a roleplay based on who would rebel.

Year 8 Classwork — Week Ending 05/10/2007

Students finished watching the video about the Renaissance and wrote their own quizes based on the information.

Students received first assessment hand out and should complete the notes for this week
